PROGRAMS

INVESTMENT GRADE AUDITS

Southern California Edison and SoCalGas are working with each of the local government partners to audit and upgrade public facilities to take advantage of the most energy efficient technologies. Energy audits for local businesses are also available.

REFRIGERATOR/FREEZER PICK UP

During special events, dozens of SCE customers have had their old energy-hog refrigerators and freezers picked up from their homes or businesses for free, and in return received up to $50, as well as rebates for a new energy-efficient appliance. Refrigerators or freezers must be in working (e.g. cooling) order, between 10 and 32 cubic feet in size, and located at a valid Southern California Edison billing address within the Southern California Edison territory. Pick-up and incentive is limited to a total of two refrigerators or freezer units per location per year.

ZERO NET ENERGY HOMES & BUSINESSES

SCEEP supports the state of California’s goal of achieving maximum energy savings including zero net energy new homes by 2020 and new commercial buildings by 2030. We do this by supporting local programs like emPowerSBC for homeowners and the voluntary Green Business Program of Santa Barbara County for business owners.

ENERGY EFFICIENT MOBILE HOMES

Hundreds of mobile home owners on the South Coast have received new lighting, airconditioning system tune ups, duct leakage testing, low flow showerheads, and faucet aerators—at no cost. This program is not being offered at this time.

SMALL BUSINESS LIGHTING

Dozens of small- and medium-sized businesses, non-profits, churches and schools have benefited from the Business Direct Install program, in which contractors replace inefficient lighting and exit signs worth up to $5000 per business—at no cost to the business. This program is not being offered at this time.

TRAININGS AND SEMINARS

Occasionally, we offer various types of workshops and seminars on energy efficiency for professionals, businesses, and individuals.

These programs are funded by California ratepayers and administered by Southern California Edison and Southern California Gas Company under the auspices of the California Public Utilities Commission. The Energy Efficiency Rebate Programs may be modified or terminated without prior notice. Rebates are available on a first-come, first-served basis until December 31, 2014 or until program funds are no longer available. For more information on current rebate amounts, product specifications for qualifying products and other customer programs, visit socalgas.com (search “REBATES”) and www.sce.com/rebates.
